Americana

So this post is gonna feature an injection of inspiration from across the pond! I've gone for a little bit more of a retro look here, with the collegiate sweater and Levi's denim.

This sweater by Boozehound fits perfectly in all the right places being tighter around the waist and wrists. The bold red paying homage to Dartmouth college gives this more of a retro/varsity look.

Boozehound is a Korean brand with the designers heavily influenced by American style, post World War II. While the brand isn't American, it certainly gives a nod to the retro American style. The quality of this sweater is absolutely phenomenal as well!

I've combined the sweat with some Levi's 511's in a lighter wash. I decided to go for a slimmer fit with the 511's over a regular fit with Levi's classic 501's. These give a little more of an athletic look as they compliment the physique a little more than a regular fit.

I've thrown on some classic low white Converse Chuck Taylor to complete this American-retro theme I've got going here. The Chuck Taylor first came on the scene in the 1970s so is definitely apt for the fit.

This look works great for a casual daywear and the lighter colours keep you looking fresh all day! For those slightly cooler day check below for what you could throw on top!

The varsity jacket is an iconic garm from American fashioned you can grab one of these in almost any colour combo you could wish for! The varsity jacket originates way back to the 1930's. Typically these jackets have a nice contrast of a wool body and leather sleeves which will definitely keep you warm, especially in this autumn weather thats coming our way now!

However I know that this jacket does not fit with the colours for the rest of the outfit the style still works for this theme. Sadly this jacket is just an antique as my brother picked it up for me from Michigan about 11 years ago and it no longer fits me!
